Meet the Judges:
Beverley Conrad:
Beverley Conrad is an artist, writer, and musician who has been active in the arts for most of her life. In 2008, she was recognized as a living traditional folk artist in the music of the fiddle by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. She has taught folk fiddle and violin for over thirty years, performs regularly, and often includes stories about the music in her presentations. In 2013, she and her husband, Greg Burgess, founded Salem Swamp Press and have published two books of local legends and lore from Central Pennsylvania.

As an artist, Beverley is skilled in portraiture and worked as a street artist for many years before accepting commissions. Her portraits of Joseph Priestley, Mary Priestley, and Elizabeth Ryland hang in the Joseph Priestley House in Northumberland, PA. She is an artist in residence at the Art Academy of Milton, where she has expanded her work into a series of one hundred pieces featuring the same dead fly in a variety of mediums and styles.
