Biography
Carole (Pisani) Ewing
The early years of my life were in Marion Heights, Pa. where I lived with my grandmother. My first painting, at the age of 5 was on my grandmother’s wallpaper, without her approval. My interest in art continued in grade school and high school.
In the early 60’s, I joined Arts Unlimited, Selinsgrove, and took art classes in many forms. In the 70’s, I took accredited art courses at Susquehanna University. In 1979, I was one of the founding members of Susquehanna Art Society and gave a talk on Ukrainian Easter Eggs. In the 90’s, I joined PA Mountain Laurel Decorative Painters to learn folk art painting and many styles of painting. In the past 50 plus years I have taken art classes from many local artists and art teachers. In 2003, I joined Sunbury YMCA Art Center and have taken art painting classes from the late Ruth Lundberg, portrait drawing; Tom Wise, oil and watercolor; Robert Hughes and Lean Ferrara, oil.
I have won several awards for my artwork in oil, pastel and watercolor.
I love art and find great comfort when painting. I enjoy and admire all forms of art and the art works of other artists from the Renaissance to modern.
